Sumac Spice Oven Roasted Chickpeas

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 cans of chickpeas (3 cups)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons Joon Sumac Spice blend
  • ½ teaspoon dry or fresh chopped thyme
  • ½ teaspoon crushed pepper flakes (optional)

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F.
  2. Place the rinsed chickpeas in a large bowl. Add the rest of the ingredients and toss together till evenly coated.
  3. Spread the chickpeas on a baking tray and bake for 20 minutes. Turn the oven off and leave the tray in the oven for another 30 minutes while the oven is cooling down.
