Turkey Meatballs in Pomegranate Sauce

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 1 cup oat meal or breadcrumbs
  • pinch of Salt and pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon dry Italian herbs or herbs of choice
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic, chopped
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 1 egg
  • brown sugar, or sweetener of choice (optional)
  • hot sauce (optional)
  • 1/2 cup Joon Pomegranate Sauce
  • fresh chopped parsley or pomegranate seeds for garnish

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees
  2. Mix the ground turkey, oat meal or breadcrumbs, salt and pepper, herbs, garlic onion and egg
  3. Form the mixture into balls
  4. Place the meatballs on a cookie sheet and bake for 25-30 minutes
  5. Mix the Joon Pomegranate Sauce with sweetener and hot sauce to taste
  6. Toss the meatballs in the sauce
  7. Garnish with pomegranate seeds or fresh herbs
